Reading the envelope figures

The washing figures set the largest vehicle the arms can treat: 2.20 m high and 2.20 m wide. The frame figures set the space the machine itself takes up: 4.20 m wide and 3.20 m high at most.

Plant length is a range, from 6.5 to 15 m, because Europe Makine specifies it for each site. The ACROBAT 2X is modular, which is how one machine fits bays of different lengths.

The arms move on six axes. The washing chemistry is chemical foam and wax, applied with high-pressure water.

Utilities

Water pump pressure 100 / 200 bar
Feedwater pressure 3.5 / 4 bar
Air pressure 6 bar
Air requirement 20 lt/min

Installed power, drying only 33 kW
Installed power, all units 75 kW

Pumps and pressure

High-efficiency piston-type jet pumps deliver the wash water. They are mounted on a special chassis inside a protected cabin. The pump is specified at 100 or 200 bar.

The nozzles produce a vibrating, pulsating jet, and a pressure adjustment valve sets the working pressure. Inverters control every movement of the machine, with speed options, and Europe Makine credits them with significant energy savings. A PLC runs the automation across the various washing programs.

The two installed pressures serve different jobs on the site. Feedwater comes in at 3.5 / 4 bar, and the pump raises it to 100 or 200 bar at the nozzles. Compressed air at 6 bar and 20 lt/min serves the machine alongside the water supply.

Consumption per vehicle

Water consumption 18-250 lt/vehicle
Electricity 0.75 / 2.50 kW/vehicle
Chemical foam 20-30 gr/vehicle
Wax 20 gr/vehicle

Running and upkeep

Water use is published as a range, 18-250 lt per vehicle, and electricity as 0.75 / 2.50 kW per vehicle. Foam use is 20-30 gr and wax use 20 gr per vehicle.

Europe Makine describes the ACROBAT 2X as low in operating and maintenance costs. All metal parts are hot-dip galvanized and finished with electrostatic paint, and the machine is covered by a 12-month warranty.
